What are the school hours?

Arrival and dismissal times for the start of the 2023 school year
Students enter the building starting between 8:00-8:20 am.
Classes are in session from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The pre-kindergarten half-day program runs from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Half-day dismissal time is 11:30 am
​Extended Day Care runs from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm

What is the school's yearly schedule?

The 2023 school year will begin for grades 1-8 on August 31st and for PreK & K on September 6th.

In general, the school year coincides with Leominster Public Schools. School breaks in December, February, and April match those of the public schools. We also follow the school-closing schedule for inclement weather or emergency situations as outlined by Leominster Public Schools.

What is the enrollment at St. Anna School?

St. Anna Catholic School has one classroom per grade for Pre-Kindergarten 3 through grade 8.
​The average class size is 18 students.
Classroom Assistants support teachers in PreK3, PreK4, Kindergarten, and other classes as needed.
Approximately 200 students from 129 families attend St. Anna's.

What faculty and staff support the school?

There are 15 full-time faculty, 3 classroom aides, and seven part-time faculty.
The school nurse is available daily, and 80% of the faculty and staff are trained in first aid and rescue techniques.

Is lunch included with tuition?

No, the cost of lunch is not included in students' tuition. As the 2022 school year is beginning differently, we are currently examining our school lunch choice options.

Do students take standardized tests?

Yes, students in grades K-8 take NWEA Map Testing three times per year in the Fall, Spring and Winter.  Testing covers mathematics, reading, language mechanics, science, and social studies.

Is there instructional support for students?

Absolutely! We have a resource teacher who specializes in reading and mathematics. She works with students individually or in small groups during school time for extra support in fundamental literacy and math skills.

What is the allergy policy?

St. Anna Catholic School follows the Leominster Department of Public Health's recommendation to assess student allergies on an individual basis. We are a nut free school. Questions should be referred to our school nurse, at [email protected] 

Do students attend Catholic Mass?
Yes, students will be able to attend mass this school year.  

Are parents allowed to attend school Mass?

Absolutely! Parents are welcome to attend any weekly Mass with the school.
​Parents are especially encouraged to do so during times where students receive special recognition (such as Student of the Month or Honor Roll).
