I was born and raised in a small town in Maine. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Southern Maine and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Upon receiving my degree, I was employed as a consultant and managed manufacturing information systems.
Longing to teach, I left my job to return to school and obtain a Masters in Education from Anna Maria College. I hold a K – 6 grade Massachusetts Teaching Certificate. After graduation, I taught as a long-term substitute for a fourth grade class in the Leicester School System. Then I joined the St. Anna School community, where I have enjoyed teaching the children since 2004.
Currently I live in Uxbridge, Massachusetts with my wonderful husband, George, better known as Durk. We have raised two daughters who have become lovely young women. Shannon, who now lives in Cleveland, Ohio with her own family, and Kayla, who lives in Framingham, Massachusetts.
In my spare time I enjoy running and ballroom dancing.
